Direction: Krzysztof Żyliński ![]() The first night performance of a play "Just another dog" look place on 05.05.2000. The play consist of the many scenes which are not connected with each ether. It shows on world. The world where we are enslaved by the conventions. In this world there is no place for such a thing like a revolt - even a small sign of it is stifled by the conventions. It tells about an everyday routine, about the impossibility to run away from it, about the lack of the values or perhaps about the distortion of it by the false values such as a fashion or a tradition, which are as a matter of fact dead for a long time and what has left is an empty form. The characters from the "Just another dog" are grotesque, come from a poster - the whole action is revolving around an advertising pillar. These are the people with the souls of the shopkeepers without any individuality, loosing their humanity living in the world where the only thing which counts is money and the greatest value everything what's new. The play is a revolt against the cheapness, the superficiality, easy money. It shows a simple human being lost in a never ending race of vats, the man who is not capable to run away from a circle of the conventions, schema. A human being who lives in a trans impossible to stop, impossible to leave behind. In the same time he is lost, helpless, lonely, afraid of himself, he can't deal with the fear, with himself. |
